The Story Behind the Haat
Pusa Agri Krishi Haat was born from a simple yet powerful idea: to build a direct bridge between the dedicated farmers of India and the discerning consumers of the city. We saw a gap where middlemen often reaped the rewards of a farmer's hard work, and consumers struggled to find truly authentic, pure, and trustworthy products. Located within the esteemed Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), our Haat was conceptualized as more than just a marketplace—it was envisioned as a movement.
With the government's support, we established this platform of 60 shops to serve a dual purpose. Firstly, to provide a dignified and profitable outlet for farmers, artisans, and small-scale entrepreneurs to sell their goods directly. Secondly, to offer urban families direct access to the wholesome, natural products they deserve. Our journey is one of empowerment, community-building, and a return to our agricultural roots, fostering a transparent ecosystem built on trust and mutual respect.
